I avoid 5 stars as unrealistic most of the time so when you see 4 stars from me, it's a good thing and just about the best I'll give in the real world. These hoses are great. Real rubber. I've used rubber hoses for about 50 years changing them about every 15 to 20 years: Never had a burst. Printed on these is text advising changing every 4 years. I don't plan on changing them until long after that.Know what's great about rubber hoses? They don't cause the water hammer effect that rattles the pipes in your house. Use those plastic tubes shrouded in stainless steel? They are so ridgid that they cause water hammer. Then you have to buy water hammer arrestors and install those arrestors in your piping. That's about $30 to $70 if you install water hammer arrestors yourself. Much more if you must pay a plumber. These Whirlpool hoses were about $25 for a pair of the10 foot length. Rubber is a little flexible so there is no water hammer caused by these rubber hoses.I always choose the10 foot length and loop them hanging them on my water faucets (faucets are also known as hose bibbs or sillcocks). That loop provides extra cushion for the abrupt water on / water off imposed by the simplistic valves in the washing machine. You'd think that in the 70 years or so that we've had automatic electric washing machines they'd have provided water valves in the machine that would turn the water on and off gently to save your pipes. Nope. For about 70 years, the machines have the same old electromagnetic activated full on and full off simplistic control valves that are activated everytime the washer turns on water or turns off water or adjusts water temperatures. So, any length of rubber hoses will cushion the water flow so you don't need hammer arrestors. I choose 10 foot lengths for other reasons but the 4 foot rubber hoses will also spare you the water hammer problem. Those stainless steel hoses look sturdy but the stainless steel is only an abrasion protection for the delicate plastic tube inside. But, think about it, the hoses are hanging behind the washing machine. How much abrasion will they encounter? They are protected by a 200 pound washing machine in the anterior aspect and they are protected by the building wall on the posterior aspect. Do you need stainless steel braid? Why? Are you going to be shooting hunting arrows at the hoses? Are the kids going to be skateboarding over them? The stainless steel braid is a sturdy looking fascade but the plastic tube inside is still subject to all the water hammer assault plus it is subjected to connection flaws where the fittings are crimped onto the plastic tube. plus subjected to water minerals and chlorine.And...just think about it, if the plastic tube inside of those assemblies was as durable as they try to say, then why does it need a stainless steel braid on the outside? And why do they only give a 1 year warranty on them?Rubber hoses in my homes for 50 years: Never a burst. I'm not worried and I don't have to install $75 water hammer arrestors to accomodate a $50 stainless steel hose set.4 foot rubber hoses are adequate to eliminate water hammer effects. But, I install the 10 foot lengths to make loops to add additional water cushion. But, also, the 10 foot lengths let me drain the entire piping system of my house. Like when I need to solder on the pipes. I need to get the water out of the piping system. The washing machine faucets are the lowest point in my plumbing system. So, to drain the pipes, I turn off the service to my house. Then, I shut off the valves that I had placed right at the water heater so I don't drain the water heater when I drain my pipe system. Then, I turn off the faucets to my washing machine. Then I disconnect the hoses from the washing machine. Then I place the end of the hoses into a bucket or into the sump pump. Then I open the washing machine supply faucets to let the house plumbing drain completely. In that way, my pipes are drained and I can solder perfect joints because the process is not compromised by the cooling effects of water puddling in the pipes I'm working on.Yep. 10 foot rubber hoses to my washing machine. They're great. And...these have the Whirlpool name to give me some confidence. They do not say "made in China" so I presume they are made in the USA. And...the connectors appear to have a very high quality precise and uniform crimp.Stainless steel braid hoses have only a one year warranty. So, is that all the manufacturers feel comfortable with? These Whirlpool rubber hoses have a printed recommendation on the hose to change them every 4 years. So, Whirlpool is confident that these hoses will last at least 4 years. Think about it. The makers of those stainless steel braided hoses drop support after one year.Whirlpool rubber hoses. Yep. I'm happy. I usually change rubber hoses every time I get a new washing machine and that's abut once every 15 to 20 years. Thanks to amazon for still supplying good quality rubber hoses for washing machines. They're the best. Some people need WiFi connection to their washing machine so Meta can snoop on their laundry behaviors. Not me. My new washing machine has no internet connection and my new washing machine has rubber hoses. It washes clothes and it doesn't bang my pipes.Happy me. Thanks y'all.

Needed water supply hoses to extend the hoses on our washer. This was exactly what we needed

Good product, if the length is 12' that might be perfect 👌 for me.

Floor is uneven near drain sink and water faucets. Needed to get longer drain hose and Inlet Hoses. These hoses are well manufactured, don't leak, include good washers, and do the job. They attached to washer and input faucets very easily. Only observation was they were smaller diameter than I've seen before. But it does not seem to affect the washer. So, no problem.A GE washer purchased from Home Depot. HD tried to insist we had to buy hoses from them. They don't sell 10 feet hoses and these are much cheaper and appear better quality than the shorter hoses at HD. I told them to take the washer back if they could not install with these hoses. They installed and I am happy.I am happy to find longer hoses, better quality, and cheaper from Amazon!

For some reason, my washing machine is quite a distance from the water source. Bad planning, for sure. I had to look long and hard to find 10 foot hoses when my others wore out. I've had these for over a year now and they are great. Good quality material and have shown no defects or problems. If I'm smart I'll buy another pair before they disappear from the market!
