Three of the four worked great BUT ... on the fourth the interface between the key and the lug nut was too shallow and I couldn't get the key to set causing a slipping (stripping) between the key and the lug nut. I would not buy White Knight products because these were bought to replace a purchase of White Knight 40700S that the key, for some reason failed to fit in three sockets. Not recommended.

I was recently shopping for some wheel locks for two of our family Honda cars. The lug nuts are M12-1.5 cone seats. I started by looking at the height (length) of the current lug nuts and the OEM ones are all just about 1.0". This is on two CR-Vs and an Accord. I wanted the locks to sit flush with the rims and blend in with the lug nuts. Unfortunately I could not find any low profile lug nuts with a top surface lock feature. The locks with features on the outside are easier to defeat. These locks are the same exact height as the McGard 24157 coming in a 1.3". So for one car, my son wanted to go with the McGard since that is who makes the "OEM" Honda locks and the other car we went with the White Knight.Okay, time to install them. The McGard lock feature was crisp and definitive. The lock engaged the top surface pattern and the feel of the engagement was solid with just the right amount of play. This felt just like a typical socket on a hex nut. Installed the McGard with no issues. The White Knight lock feature did not engage in a way that you felt the pattern bottomed out. It seemed that it grabbed 1/8" of an inch. It was enough to do the initial torque but when we put the hand torque wrench to dial them in to 80 ft-lbs, the lock started to slip. We did not use anything other than hand tools. I told my son, to remove and we were going to pay the extra $10 to get the McGards. I can't imaging being on the side of the road with a lock that may be unreliable. I was rooting for the White Knights. If you want more market, develop a 1" length locks set with a better lock that bottoms out with a little bit of play. The White Knight $20 price is positioned right to capture market but the functionality has to be on par with the competition standard.
