Great product and manufacturer. The gears specs and setup were very easy and precise. Following the mfg prompts achieved the perfect tolerances. I did sand off the coating on the bearing surfaces of the pinion which where .001-.002 over the I.d. bearing race. The shipping was incredibly fast (2) days. And the price was excellent.

Got the parts that’s i needed.Everything else I had no serious problemsI’d buy again if I needed more parts in the future .Only had a mishap due to the parts at my shop being mixed and not sorted .

Installed this 3.90 rear gear set in a 2002 Silverado Regular cab 5.3 L with a small cam and headers. The ring and pinion were machined well and installed with no problem. We used the exact same shims on the gear set and the backlash and gear mesh pattern worked out perfect. The cam loves that 3.90 gear and with 31 inch tires it will cruise the interstate no problem.

8.2" GM rear ends don't have a good reputation for strength. So when I re-geared my rear end I wanted to give my diff a fighting chance of living so buying top quality parts is part of the recipe for success. There are other good gear companies out there too, but I liked the instructions provide in the box and used Yukon parts throughout the build. I also have reinforced diff cover for added strength.My 383 is pushing 450hp+ and after 300 miles everything is working good and zero diff noise.
